Acting as a deputy to the Project Manager, this role not only manages logistics, but also takes ownership of program tasks, drives cross functional coordination, and ensures alignment across stakeholders and deliverables. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to grow into a full project or program management role./ppThis role is located onsite in Sterling, VA and up to 50% Oconus travel./ph3Responsibilities: Program Project Coordination/h3ulliWork closely with the Project Manager to understand program objectives, constraints, risks, and timelines./liliOwn and maintain detailed project plans and task trackers, ensuring assigned work is documented, monitored, and completed on schedule./liliFacilitate coordination across multiple project teams, helping to align deliverables, dependencies, and priorities./liliSupport risk and issue tracking by identifying roadblocks early and forwarding recommendations for mitigation or escalation./liliOperational Execution Ownership/liliManage and execute key program tasks independently, ensuring timely completion and cross-team communication./liliCoordinate operational activities across internal and external partnersincluding technical teams, suppliers, and customers./liliSupport planning and execution of program test events, demonstrations, or milestone activities with attention to timelines, requirements, and resource readiness./li/ulh3Meeting Stakeholder Management/h3ulliPlan, schedule, and run program meetings, including preparing agendas, leading discussions when required, and tracking action items./liliProvide clear and timely updates to stakeholders, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and next steps./liliServe as a communication bridge between the Program Manager, engineering teams, support functions, and external partners./li/ulh3Documentation Reporting/h3ulliDevelop and maintain accurate program documentation, including schedules, action logs, test plans, status reports, and compliance-related materials./liliPrepare regular progress summaries for internal and external stakeholders./liliEnsure all program documents are stored and managed according to company standards and configuration control policies./liliContinuous Improvement Program Support/liliIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, communication, or workflow across the program./liliParticipate in post event or post milestone reviews to capture lessons learned and help refine program execution./liliSupport the Program Manager in defining processes, templates, and structures that enable predictable program delivery./li/ulh3Qualifications: Required:/h3ulliEducation: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations, Project Management, Engineering, or related field./liliExperience: 5 years in program coordination, project support, operations, or a similar role./li/ulh3Skills:/h3ulliStrong organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail./liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills./liliAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast paced environment./liliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools (such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar)./liliDemonstrated ability to work proactively, solve problems, and complete tasks with limited direction./liliAbility to travel up to 25% to support program events, testing, stakeholder meetings, or onsite coordination activities./li/ulh3Desired:/h3ulliCertification or coursework in Project Management (CAPM, PMP, ScrumMaster, etc.)./liliExperience supporting technical teams or multi project environments./liliFamiliarity with event or test coordination./liliExposure to risk management, scheduling, or basic project management methodologies./li/ulpWhat You Can Expect:/ppA culture of integrity./ppAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
